Kate Spade Inspired Shoot

Every now and then, the stars align and bring together all the right elements…the dress, the flowers, the jewelry, the hair and makeup, the models, the event planner, the baker, the venue, and the photography…and it makes for an elegant photoshoot with just the right amount of spunk!  And it just so happens to get featured on a cool wedding blog, Bespoke Bride.  We were so excited to be involved in this spunky Kate Spade inspired styled shoot.  Thanks to the photographer, Karinda of Designs by Karinda for the lovely photos.  And make sure to see the list at the end of all the amazing people involved.

Chic Chateau Wedding

Most little girls dream of the fairytale wedding…a princess marrying her prince in some gorgeous castle.  And for one girl, at least, that dream came true.  They may not be royalty, but everything about their wedding felt like it stepped right out of the pages of novel.  As if how stunning Jessica and Clayton both are was not enough, they chose the enchanting Chateau Cocomar for their “I Do’s”.  Everything beautifully came together for an exquisite affair.  We have to thank this sweet couple for trusting us with their vision.  And we also have to thank Brit Jones Photography for capturing all the bliss of that day!

So In January We’re Getting Married!

“January Wedding” is one of my favorite songs by the Avett Brothers.  It has always made me want to get married in January.  So what better way to kick off 2015 than to have a January wedding…or to have the honor to design for one.  We had the privilege of creating floral arrangements for the lovely, and sweet bride, Megan.  Everything about the flowers were flowy, warm, charming and beautiful…much like the bride herself.  Fittingly, her ceremony was at the beautiful glass chapel at The Woodlands Church, after all she knows the pastor pretty well.  And the reception followed at a friend’s gorgeous barn.  I have to say when I saw the pictures from that special day, I felt giddy!   Thank you Tracy Flaherty, the wedding planner, for introducing us.  And a big thank you to Mustard Seed Photography for the AMAZING photos!

A Little Irish Luck

With St. Patrick’s Day being tomorrow, I couldn’t help but blog our photo shoot from last March.  While the idea of wearing green originally started because people believed if you didn’t wear green leprechauns would pinch you (yes…that’s right), it is a tradition that has lasted.  Now that green is usually associated with some “Kiss Me I’m Irish” t-shirt, or silly green hat, or green beads from a parade.  But we wanted to show you just how beautiful green can be.  It inspired our styled shoot and hopefully it will inspire you.  Spring is here and with it comes some gorgeous, colorful flowers…but for now we will honor that old St. Patrick’s Day tradition and be all about the greens.

We were lucky enough to have two photographers with two different styles shoot for us.  Thanks to Karinda Kinsler (www.designsbykarinda.com) and Noah Chumchal for capturing the fun.

“May the road rise up to meet you, may the wind always be at your back.  May the sun shine warm on your face, and rains fall soft upon your fields. And until we meet again, may God hold you in the palm of his hand.”

A September to Remember

We love a good color palette.  And the palette used for Brittany’s September wedding at Moffit Oaks was soft, textured and flowy. Lovely hues of mint, pinks, peaches, greens, ivories and grays created a romantic feel to make this day one truly to remember.

Rustic Retreat Photo Shoot

We always love getting to collaborate on styled shoots.  We had the privilege of designing for Ashelynn Manor in Magnolia, TX with photographer Karinda Kinsler of www.designsbykarinda.com.  In addition to a beautiful chapel and barn, Ashelynn Manor has plenty of acreage to complete their rustic retreat.  With Karinda’s vision of antlers, chandeliers and hay bales, we added flowing, textured florals in peaches, light pink and pops of burgundy.   We were honored for the shoot to be featured on the cover of Woodlands Bride magazine, winter edition.

These are just a few of the photos from that shoot.  We hope it inspires you on just how beautiful a rustic setting can be for your wedding day!

Hello 2015!

I am so excited about the sneak peek that arrived in our inbox today!  Our New Year’s Eve bride, Katie, sent us a few photos from her wedding that took place just last week.  We know Katie through Young Life, where both she and my husband are on staff.  Katie has been impacting the lives of high school kids for many years.  She is an absolutely incredible woman and her smile lights up a room!  We are so happy for her and her new husband!!

Whittington Bridal Photo Shoot

A few weeks ago we were contacted by Whittington Bridal Shop to participate in the photo shoot for their Fall 2014 Look Book.  We had just gotten home from vacation, but we jumped at the chance to work with these remarkable ladies!  (Check out their boutique in Kingwood if you are looking for a fabulous bridal gown!)  We managed to quickly get ahold of some pretty blush flowers and designed a small centerpiece and a bouquet for them to use at the shoot.  A thousand thank yous to photographer Jenna McElroy for sending us over the images she captured so brilliantly that day!
